The Tacoma has been the default midsize Toyota overlanding truck for about two decades, but with the new generation of 2024 and up Tacomas came new dimensions and fitment that don't carry over from the previous generation. This meant all new accessories built from scratch.
We had the 4th Gen in our facility test-fitting almost immediately after release to start our new product line in 2024. In the past couple of years our 4th Gen Tacoma catalog has grown significantly to give you many Tacoma overland accessories to choose from, from bumpers and armor to molle panels and racks. This guide will walk you through what to add first and which parts fit your trim.
Trim levels change the parts list available. The 2024+ Tacoma lineup runs from SR and SR5 through TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited, up to TRD Pro and Trailhunter. Please read the fitment notes on individual product pages before ordering.
The 4th Gen comes with either the turbocharged i-FORCE or the i-FORCE MAX hybrid. Both use a 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder. Some of our parts fit only one powertrain, so check the fitment notes on each product page.
The Double Cab and XtraCab don't share every part. Bed-mounted parts are built around the 4th Gen composite bed and factory bed rail. Not all of our products are compatible with every cab and bed configuration, so please check individual product pages for confirmed fitment.

Our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Center Mount Front Winch Bumper is built around how 4th Gen owners actually use their trucks. Adding winch capability and recovery options to your front end, this bumper gives you everything you need in an added modification while staying true to the truck's OEM styling. The hidden winch plate fits winches up to 12,000 lb and is mounted in the center, protected by the front plate. Added 1-inch thick CNC-machined clevis mounts and D-ring mounts give you a more secure recovery. The bumper has an integrated mount for a 20-inch dual row light bar for some added low-profile off-road lighting. It retains your factory safety sensors, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control functions, and fog lights without the need for relocation brackets. Finished in a durable 2-stage hammer black powder coat on steel plating, this bumper is strong enough to tackle tough terrain head-on. The bumper is compatible with all trim models except the TRD Pro, Trailhunter, and hybrid models.
Add the optional 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Skid Plate For Rago Front Bumper for added protection from obstacles when driving off-road. It is shaped to deflect obstacles and give you an improved approach angle for clearing trail obstacles. If your state requires a front license plate, we've got you covered with the Clevis Mounted License Plate Bracket, which mounts to the bumper's D-rings, can be configured for different heights, and is easily removable for better ground clearance on the trail.
Designed for the TRD Off-Road and SR5, the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Rear Bumper follows the same factory, low-profile styling of the front winch bumper. The matching rear bumper allows for two side pod light mounts that accept Baja Designs S2 or Rigid Industries SR-M lights for supplemental trail lighting. It's crafted from high-quality steel to match the strength of your front bumper and withstand trail abuse, and its low-profile design improves ground clearance over stock.
This bumper keeps all of your OEM capabilities, including parking sensors, blind spot sensors, license plate lights, recovery points, and the trailer wiring harness, with no cutting required. Add the Universal Clevis Mounted Whip Flag Holder for displaying all whip flag sizes, mounted easily to any standard 1-inch clevis D-ring mount.
Not always. As with all things in modding and adding accessories to your vehicle, it comes down to preference and how you use your Tacoma. A winch bumper is helpful for getting out of tough spots when you're on the trail solo or traveling remote routes. Having a winch is having an insurance policy if you get stuck.
The Tacoma factory bumper is made mostly of plastic over a frame and isn't meant to withstand recovery pulling or hold a winch. A steel winch bumper adds a winch mount, recovery points, and overall off-road protection for your front-end.
Our 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma front and rear bumpers were designed to retain your OEM sensor functions, including parking sensors and adaptive cruise control, without needing relocation brackets. The front bumper is not compatible with the TRD Pro, Trailhunter, or hybrid models. Recalibrations prior to install may be required in order to adjust to the addition of an aftermarket product. Make sure your ADAS/TSS system is in proper working condition to ensure functionality after installation.

Damage to your trailing arm can result in suspension misalignment, so it is important to have protection to avoid expensive damage. Our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Trailing Arm Skid Plates are sold as a pair and mount to the frame. Its angled design deflects common overland obstacles to protect the trailing arm. These skid plates are constructed of heavy duty steel plate and a durable 2-stage powder coat to withstand extreme off-roading.
Sold as a pair, our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Rear Shock Guards offer a low-profile fitment that follows the contours of the shocks. The angled front face is designed to deflect the harsh impacts the shocks would otherwise take on the trail. The guards are made with double sheared mounts and plate steel for extra strength and finished with a durable 2-stage powder coat to weather off-road conditions.
Skid plates are necessary on any vehicle if you want to protect your undercarriage from rocks and debris when off-roading. Many Tacomas are factory equipped with minimal plastic or fiber material to help block road debris. As off-road enthusiasts, we know that these are hardly enough to stop large rocks or branches on the trail. The more extreme the trail, the more necessary off-road skid plates become, especially when rock crawling. Our heavy-duty steel and aluminum skid plates are ready to protect from off-road damage and even cover areas that are overlooked from the factory.
Some of the first points of contact on the trail for the 4th gen Tacoma are the rear shocks and the trailing arms. The 4th Gen's coil-sprung rear suspension puts the trailing arm frame mounts low on the frame, where they have been known to fold in on themselves after a hard hit, and rear shocks can take rock damage that leads to blow-outs. Having skid plates to protect these two exposed areas of the undercarriage helps prevent expensive repairs in the future when off-roading.

Our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Center Console Molle Panels mount to the center console on both the driver and passenger side to allow for mounting molle accessories, straps, and clip mounts. The panels follow the Tacoma's body lines for a seamless fit, keeping full accessibility to all handles, controls, charging stations, and cup holders (automatic transmission only). By creating versatile mounting options for phones, tablets, radios, and more, these panels give you quicker access to your gear instead of keeping it out of reach in the glove compartment.
Our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Bed Cab Molle Panels mount to the front of the truck bed to give you a large surface to store gear while retaining full functionality of the factory bed. They use existing mounting points behind the bed rail and are compatible with multiple attachment systems, like our molle mounts, straps, and bolts. They also add extra tie-down slots, so you have more places to secure your load. Made of high-quality steel and finished with a 2-stage powder coat, these molle panels are built to hold up on the trail and add stiffness to the factory composite bed.
For even more truck bed storage, our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Bed Side Molle Panels mount to the bed side walls for additional storage space without getting in the way of factory bed functionality. By utilizing existing mounting points behind the bed rail, the panels retain full functionality of the bed rails. The molle pattern allows for multiple different mounting solutions, including Quick Fist mounts and Rotopax mounts. The high quality steel design adds stiffness to the factory bed and keeps its long lasting performance with a durable powder coat and secure fit. Panels are easily removable if needed.
Once your panels are installed, these mounts are designed to hold your heavier gear on them:
Molle panels are made to give you more storage without eating up floor space. Most molle panels are engineered to be mounted vertically along the walls or windows, creating storage out of unused space. Truck bed molle panels mount along the bed walls and cab so you can strap or bolt gear to them, leaving more room for other items on the bed floor for things like storage bins or coolers.
Molle panels are mounted using existing mounting points and require some drilling. Every Rago product page has an install guide attached so you can look at the install process before and after purchase.

Our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Roof Rack fits Double Cab models (not XtraCab) and is designed to support the added weight from bike and kayak racks, roof top tents, cargo boxes, and more while keeping to a lightweight, all-aluminum construction. The rack has seven crossmembers and double walled side panels for a stable platform. Its low-profile design follows the contours of the roof, and the angled fairing adds little to no wind noise or resistance. To protect the roof from damage when loading and unloading gear, the bottom edge of the front fairing has a scratch guard and powder coat finish. Each rear corner of the rack has an angled bottle opener for popping caps on the go. Add the Illuminator Roof Rack Light Mount to mount Baja Designs S2 Flush Mounted LEDS or standard rock lights to the side of the roof rack at a 35-degree angle for extra campsite or trail visibility. Optional Roof Rack Decking Panels, sold as a pair, can be mounted to the crossmembers to add even more mounting capabilities on a flat surface with additional tie down points.
The roof rack also comes in a light pocket version leaving space for a 40-inch radiused or straight roof rack light bar, up to ten 3-inch pod lights, or up to six Rigid Industries round lights with the Rigid Round Light Mount or Baja Designs Light Mount add-ons.
Most people's main concern is wind noise or rattling, so finding a roof rack that was designed to closely follow the factory points and lines is important. That's why our roof rack was specifically designed with an angled fairing to minimize wind noise. Lighting options are also a big consideration for people choosing a roof rack, since many want to mount lights without drilling, making ours a good solution with its fully bolt-on light mounts. Make sure to also check specific vehicle and trim fitment.

Bed channels have been known to crack under stress from camper shells, racks, and trail miles, so having bed stiffeners to reinforce the rear bed channels is an important addition to your rig. Our 2024+ Tacoma Bed Channel Stiffeners are sold as a pair and are made with steel stiffener and a backing plate to provide rigidity. The top of the brackets also provides additional accessory mounting locations that are perfect for mounting a whip flag, light pod, or antenna.
These smaller mounts bolt to the factory bed rail to provide extra storage and accessory locations:
Our Universal Truck Bed Rack Crossmembers adjust to your overland Tacoma bed width and mount to the factory bed rails for a secure, low-profile overland Tacoma bed rack. These bars add 7-inches of height above the bed rail cap to allow for bed rack storage space below and on top. Although many use these bars for rooftop tents, they also give you the ability to also attach a wide range of accessories like lights, antennas, whip flags, recovery gear, safety gear, Quick Fist mounts, bike racks, kayaks, and more. Their universal design fits all truck beds, even those with Toyota factory bed rails, without drilling.
Chase racks give you a rigid place to mount lights and gear over the bed while following the truck's body lines. Many even opt for chase racks solely for the look. Our 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Chase Rack combines the best of both worlds with a high-quality steel construction, aluminum accent panels, and a hammer black powder coat, giving you both style and utility. The chase rack comes with an actuated light bar mount, perfect for either a 40-inch light bar, 5 round lights, or other lighting configurations. This is a great solution for adjustable lighting, since you can point your lights forward for trail lighting or backward for chase lighting. With the flip of a switch from inside the cab, the actuator raises or lowers the main light mount to fit your vehicle in tight spaces like garages and then raise it back up when on the trail with no tools needed. With its included bed cab corner braces, the chase rack also helps reinforce the composite factory bed on rough terrain. The side panels were designed to be compatible with molle accessories, including our Universal Molle Panel Rotopax Mounts.
If you're comparing for storage when camping, it can depend. A roof rack keeps the bed open and works best for light, bulky cargo and rooftop tents. On the other hand, a bed rack keeps the weight off the cab roof, leaving your roof free. Although you can mount lighting to a roof rack, a chase rack is best if lighting and a finished truck look matter most to you.

With many of our Tacoma accessories having molle setups and mounting surfaces, adding off-road lighting is highly customizable. Our 4th Gen Tacoma light brackets and mounts allow you to put pods, round lights, and antennas right where you want them. Each individual product we make for the 4th Gen Tacoma has its own lighting compatibility, so make sure to check individual product pages for what off-road lighting setups work.
Many people look for bolt-on, no-drill options when looking for mounts as an easy install makes all the difference. Ditch light brackets should also keep a low-profile and not block your view past the hood, while still holding the light size you want to run. Our 2024+ Tacoma Ditch Light Brackets are sold in a pair and mount up to 6-inch pod lights. With a bolt-on install, they attach to the hood hinges near the A-pillar and keep a low-profile position while keeping your view unobstructed. They can be pointed to the side or forward for extra trail lighting and feature integrated wire management. If you want to run two pod lights on each side, the Ditch Light Bracket Extensions allow you to have a dual setup without interfering with the opening of the hood. The brackets also allow you to run a Ham radio antenna with the Ham Antenna Ditch Bracket Extension that easily attaches to any brand of ditch light brackets and allows for an adjustable antenna position.
It depends on how you use your truck. Camping and overlanding? Start with molle panels and a roof rack for more storage. Night runs on dirt roads or a lot of jobsite days? Start with lighting and bed channel stiffeners. Heading out where you might need to recover yourself or a buddy? Start with a winch-ready front bumper and skid plates.
For off-roading, most builds start with suspension, wheels, and tires. A lift adds ground clearance and room for bigger tires, and bigger tires raise the axles and differentials higher off the ground. Generally not. The 2024+ Toyota Tacoma is built on a new platform with a new body, bed, and front end. Bumpers, bed panels, racks, and armor that were engineered specifically for the 2016-2023 3rd Gen Tacoma won't bolt onto the 4th Gen. Rago designs and fits all 4th Gen Tacoma parts to the 2024+ truck. When in doubt, use our vehicle selector at the top of our website to filter for products that will fit your exact make, model, and year. Have a different generation Tacoma? A lot of our products, like our ditch light brackets, are designed to be bolt-on with no drilling to make the install process as easy as possible but some products require more time and hands. Some products, like the molle panels and bed stiffeners, require drilling, and the bumper requires trimming. Every product has its install guide on its product page so you can review the install process before purchase.
It is all about maximizing your space as much as possible. Try to keep heavier, more frequently used gear low and on the bed floor. Utilize the bed walls with molle panels to hold recovery and safety gear where it is easily accessible but out of the way. Keep lighter, bulky gear up on top of the roof rack.
The 4th Gen Tacoma is a fresh start, and that's the best part of building one. Start with what your trips need most, whether that's recovery up front, armor underneath, or storage in the bed. Then add to it over time. Every Rago part for the 2024+ Tacoma was designed on the truck itself, so each piece you add works with the last one.
